Opera’s most popular comedy returns, with soprano Pretty Yende and tenor Lawrence Brownlee headlining an exceptional bel canto cast in Bartlett Sher’s delightfully madcap production. Baritone Andrey Zhilikhovsky stars as Figaro, the swaggering barber of Seville, with bass Ildar Abdrazakov and bass-baritone Maurizio Muraro as the scheming Don Basilio and Dr. Bartolo. Giacomo Sagripanti makes his Met debut conducting.
