THOSE FAMOUS NINE HIGH Cs are spectacular when you hear them live on stage! When fun-loving, tomboyish Marie meets Tonio, it's the beginning of a madcap romance, the discovery of Marie's real parents—and show-stopping arias for both lead singers, in Donizetti's frothy romantic comedy DAUGHTER OF THE REGIMENT (La fille du régiment).

This production, sung in English, features star tenor Lawrence Brownlee as Tonio, singing those famous nine high Cs in "Ah, my friends (Ah, mes amis)," alongside Lisette Oropesa (The Abduction from the Seraglio, 2011) as Marie. WQED-FM's Anna Singer and Joyce Castle join the cast as the Duchess and the Marquise; Pittsburgh favorite Kevin Glavin (La bohème, 2014) returns as the old soldier Sulpice. Antony Walker conducts the Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra and Chorus.
