Today, renowned singers Lawrence Brownlee and Erin Morley announce the release of Golden Age, out October 10 on PENTATONE. This new release celebrates the world of 19th-century opera and the timeless beauty of the golden age of bel canto. Featuring music by Gaetano Donizetti, Gioacchino Rossini, Georges Bizet, Léo Delibes, and Giuseppe Verdi, the album showcases Morley and Brownlee—two of today’s leading bel canto voices—joined by the Münchner Rundfunkorchester under the baton of conductor Ivan Repušić. Together, they bring fresh brilliance to the French and Italian repertoire with performances that balance vocal agility, lyrical finesse, and emotional power.
'Golden Age' is a tribute to the era in operatic history when composers truly celebrated the beauty of the human voice and all of its capabilities.
